Reopened their doors for in studio practice today. It's always wonderful to see one's art in its intended home. 'Prana' (seen as a universal energy which flows in currents in and around the body) was commissioned by Leap for their reopening and I hope their students enjoy it as much as I loved painting it.

July - I'm Hungry!
As we all need to smile, I thought I would paint my little four legged bff Murphy in one of his moments of hunger (which is always)! Titled I'm Hungry, 40"x30" painted in mixed medium (layered chalk with marker, gauche & pencil detailing) using exactly the same process I adopt in rendering automobiles. If you wish to see the painting in person - it's on display in the window at the Gold Country Artists Gallery in Placerville.

White on White - 40x30 mixed media of my Jeep Rubicon 4xe having fun in Northstar Tahoe is now available and will be displayed at the gallery shortly. Awaiting a few finishing touches and framing!

New Painting started - White on White - this time of my modified Jeep Rubicon 4xe, being painted for display at the gallery, Gold Country Artist's Gallery, on Main Street in Placerville, California. 40"x30" Mixed Media which hopefully should be ready in a few weeks. I have also prepared a full set of Giclee limited edition signed prints of my favourite works along with a full set of signed postcards which will be available from tomorrow May 29th. Come visit me during my shift between 10am-2pm!

Almost 140,000 acre burn so far, my heart goes out to all my friends that live in the area, especially those that have lost their house or are in the line of fire . Air quality is reportedly the worst in the country today. Cal fire are doing an incredibly brave job, diverting extra resources to tackle the spread. This is a live webcam screenshot of Placerville taken next door to the gallery, which will remain closed today. News reports confirm efforts are concentrated on preventing further spread especially east into Tahoe. So far containment is at 12%. We are super lucky and are unaffected unlike so many others . JULY Childhood Casa Exhibit Gold Country Artists Gallery is celebrating its 29th anniversary throughout the month of July by partnering with, and raising funds for, Child Advocates of El Dorado County (CASA)! We're donating 10% of all gallery sales in July to CASA, a wonderful non-profit agency that trains volunteers to speak out and speak up in court for the needs of abused, neglected, and at-risk children. In addition, many of the artists at Gold Country Artists Gallery generously donated their artwork directly to CASA. CASA is holding an online art auction of this work throughout July, with all proceeds benefiting children in El Dorado County. Art lovers and potential bidders can view the auction at https://childhoodcasaexhibit.ggo.bid. Join us in supporting Child Advocates of El Dorado County!

I am about to start my next commission - subject matter automotive, client approved layout and sent pictures of vehicle. All going to look very dramatic and I'm going to try something a little different! I will post progress once started. Only clue is it's British and new 😀

A little note of jubilation! I am so pleased that my company MiDESign & Marketing Consultancy, has just been awarded The 2016 American Graphic Design Award for the EDHAA Studio Tour Brochure. Graphic Design USA (GD) is the largest and most important design magazine in the country! Yippee my first GD award for brochure design. I am delighted to have had the opportunity to design it and to show my work on the tour.
